Tip #1: Clasp hands when you're crossing a street or walking through a crowd of people. Wrap your arms around your lover when you're standing close to each other, and don't keep more than a foot's distance between each other (unless you have no choice!)

You repeatedly and impatiently pressed the button at the crosswalk. The damn thing was taking several thousand years to change colour, and frankly, it was pissing you off.
You'd been in a bad mood as soon as you'd woken up, and it didn't help that your irritating boyfriend had done something supremely stupid that morning.

He'd forgotten to kiss you goodbye. Hell, he'd forgotten to even say goodbye, leaving with a bagel stuffed in his mouth, a briefcase in his hand, and an umbrella over his head.

You drooped a little. He'd been neglecting to do little things like that a lot recently...

"And every time that happens, my partner dumps me soonafter..." You mumbled, recalling your failed past relationships. They still stung on occasion...but....as soon as Matthias had come into your life, it was like none of the bad stuff mattered anymore. He had been your own personal sunshine...

And now it was raining...

"Heeey!______!" A familiar voice wailed from down the block, and you craned your neck to see the very blond of your thoughts, jumping up and down and waving his arms like crazy before sprinting over to you.

"Mat....what are you doing here? You have work, don't you?" You wondered, trying to sound unsurprised. Though when a hand linked through yours, and a smile dawned on your love's face, you squeaked quietly.

"I forgot to say bye-bye this morning....so I took the day off. I'll walk you to work."

The pair of you never moved further than a foot from one another for that entire trek.



Tip #2: Write little love notes and slip it into your lover's pocket.

You listened sadly from your bed as Matthias made quiet, frustrated grunts at the computer in the next room over. There had been a huge scandal at the company he worked for, so naturally, he had assignments and such handed to him on a silver platter.

He was seriously stressed.

In all honesty, you'd been avoiding calling him to sleep, and from paying a ton of attention to him, because you knew that if you did, he'd feel guilty about not spending time with you.
And then that work would never get finished, and he'd freak out even more.

"If only I could do something to cheer you up..." You said to yourself.

Suddenly, and idea hit you like a bag of bricks.

You pulled out a miniscule stack of brightly coloured note papers from your desk, followed by a dark blue pen.
It was cheesy....but it just might give him enough amusement to get him through the day....

Matthias woke up with tiny squares imprinted in his cheek. Damn, he fell asleep on the keyboard again....

He unhappily glanced at the clock, and sighed. Thank god, he hadn't missed his alarm.

______ would still be asleep –as per usual-..._______...poor ______. He knew as well as any other person that the workload he was carrying was affecting her greatly. She'd even stopped hugging him because of it....

The blond man stood up and stretched, sliding a jacket over his shirt and tightening his tie. Almost ready to head out, just one more thing.....
"Phone....phone...cellphone.....where are you...?"

He dug around in his pockets for the small device, only stopping when his hand hit a square of paper – when had it gotten there?

He unfolded it, reading quietly to himself.
Dear Matthias. I love you. And -even though it's a hard thing to do right now-, have a good day at work, alright? Call me if you need anything. Your cell is on the couch.
Love, ______.

He couldn't stop grinning for the rest of the day.
